Board sizing is primarily based on rider weight rather than height, which trips a lot of people up. As a rough guide:

Yes, we have women’s specific boards (like the Viva) as well as grom setups for younger or lighter riders. Women’s boards are generally shaped and tuned differently to suit a lighter build and different riding style, rather than just being a smaller version of a men’s board.
Our packages include the board plus a matched pair of mounted boots, usually at a saving over buying separately and are a convenient, cost effective option if you’re starting from scratch. Standalone boards come without bindings, the right choice if you already have boots or want a specific boot/deck combo. The board itself is identical in both case.
Rinse your board with fresh water after every session, especially if you’ve been riding in saltwater, to stop salt and grit from wearing down the base and hardware. Store it out of direct sunlight when not in use, as UV exposure can degrade the core and graphics over time, and always use a board cover or bag when transporting it to avoid dings and scratches.
We’d point you towards the Robot Indie with Media boots or the Robot Spa and Apex boots combo. Both come with open-toe boots, which are easier to get in and out of and a bit more forgiving on fit which is ideal while you’re still finding your feet, literally. Once you’re chasing bigger airs and want your foot properly locked in for landings and grabs, we’d steer you towards a closed-toe setup like the Robot Jacob wakeboard with Apogee boots. The snugger fit gives you a lot more response when things get more aggressive. If you want something in between your beginner board and that top-end feel, our Robot The Mask with Apex boots is a solid middle ground as it’s a dependable, well-rounded board without jumping straight to closed-toe pricing.
Of course, and our Robot Viva board with Apogee boots is worth a look before anything else. It’s genuinely built for a lighter frame rather than just a smaller version of a men’s board, so it’ll feel noticeably different (in a good way) underfoot. It comes with closed-toe boots for a supportive, locked-in fit. it’s a smart place to start without overcommitting.
